Help!

Hey everyone! Finally, that day that I dreaded has arrived. I have a whacko who is not only writing cheap comments to some of my blogs but is also plagiarizing my writing.

Can anyone suggest a technology-duh person like me about what I can do? How do I ban him from coming to my site? And do you think that the best option would be to make my blogs private to prevent this?

  1. Oh Dear! Those Wackos... if you find out please let me know as well... as I had someone doing the same... with an alias name krishna...

My solution came up ... was Ignore ! and it seems he did give up !

  4. the best way i think, is to send a nice note to the person and inducing some guilt factor. After that maybe you should post several comments on the copy-cat blog linking to the original posts. maybe ur readers can help with this.

  5. You can always delete the comments. There is a built in mechanism for that. With regards to plagiarism, try to have your post copyrighted. Anyway, they say that imitation is the best form of flattery. What's happening to you is a sure sign of success. Rather than limit your accessibility to genuine blogger friends, why not just ignore him/her. Anyway, there is nothing new under the sun. One way or the other, there no such thing as an original work, as everything has already been tackled by countless others before. God bless you and your loved ones always.

  6. I think you should definitely make your blog private. You know the names (or Ids) of the people you want to allow visiting your blogs. Everyone will just have to send you an email to get your permission to read your blogs. Unfortunately, because this was a public blog to begin with, and I presume you do not have a copyright on your blogs, you will not be able to do much about this issue. Of course you can try writing to that person, by I don't believe that they will refrain from plagiarizing in the future.

  8. Making your blog private kill any new readers you might have got, except from word of mouth I guess. So you got to decide which is more important. I don't think there are tools that can stop it. There might be a forum or something for this though. Never have had the need so haven't looked.

  11. I agree with Deepali.

However, it would also ensure peace of mind, for you.

That way, that unknown stalker (read ass****) won't be able to open and copy your content anymore.

    Take care!

  15. blogger doesnt help. install web counters on ur blogs. sitemeter is best one. it wud list the ip address and location of every visitor.....

i have dealt with this most of the times.....

go to blogger help or groups. write ur problem, they wud get back to u, but that doesnt help more...

once u have ip address, then u can go to cyber cell of us police dept and complain. they d be gone.....the anonymous commenters wd most prolly be the 2 offenders who troubled me too.....

install copyscape on ur site, it tracks the plaigaarists....if u go for paid versions, it wud list u all offenders......

any help drop me a mail, i wud gladly help u out, me the most experineced in this kinda stufff!!!!

    damn them........

  17. Girl...I agree with Mel here.
You can get your posts copyrighted, and moreover, like he said, you being plagiarised means you're getting famous, you're successful.
Dont worry. creeps will never stop being creeps. Things will shape up. And rejects his/her comments.
