Do you know what those words mean?
They mean something in a particular language. Try and say them out loud. Are you afraid you might pronounce them wrong? But who's listening?
What emotion would you experience if someone came and said these to you? Confusion, bewilderment, excitement, hatred? Would you think about it for days or would you let it go? Would you ploy revenge or would you smile to yourself?
I hate you
Do you know now know what those words mean?
What would you do if someone came and said these words to you? Would you experience anger, frustration, sadness, hurt, disappointment, or amusement? How long would these words stick in your mind? What will you do about that?
Words. A mere jumble of letters. They may look funny. May be difficult to pronounce. And may not mean anything. To US. But they could change someone else's life, their mental state. Just three words can alter a person's self-esteem and peace of mind.
Words. They so easily slip out of our mouths. And yet, can be so profound to the listener.
Words. They can change someone's life.
Words. So precious. Use them wisely.
13 Words of Wisdom:
I think most of the time they DO just slip out of our mouths.
But you have a very valid point - words can change someone's life...
Bhaat Heppened madum? so serious serious?
yes what we utter can make a difference to the other person, so lets take a vow not to say anything negative ever :-) howzzat?
hey do i know u? saw your comment in my blog...
You are right about words having the power to change lives and the advice to use them wisely.
It would be even better if we applied the same towards our thoughts and views. For they are the source that feed the words.
to be honest - i will smile - really at this person who tells me this - because when he/she will be saying this - they will have a grave face and that will be worth a smile - if you get agitated and angry at them - then you have trapped yourself i feel. might sound corny but try smiling at someone who is angry at you - they will either be puzzled as to why you are smiling or simple get more angry - but in either case the original anger will be gone and there will be a space for interaction......
"thi-inal sutta pun ul aarum ..aaarathe naavinal sutta vadu" .....does that make some sense ...ask some madrasi ..i mean REAL madrasi ...
@ deepali and cosmic joy
I guess we have to be more cognizant of our negative thoughts as subsequently our negative words.
@ anjuli
I do get a lot more serious sometimes! Vowing to not say anything negative would be too Godly dont you think?
@ ceedy
And what do you think people will do if you said these same words to them?
@ sowri
Was that something nice?
that is a tough question - but usually I try not to judge peoples reactions - as it is not in my hands :) about saying it - it could happen and you are right can change someones life - but being aware of its consequences - might be really careful
it means the injuries u get by fire or anything else goes away with time where as the one that hurts from somebodys words never gos...so always choose ur words b4 using them ....a famous saying in tamil by thiruvalluvar ...one of the greatest tamilian...
its not Godly, its just a li'l difficult.
I attended SSY (Siddha Samadi Yoga)classes some time back and was asked to write an essay on my kind of world and was told not to write anything negative, Boy, I had a tough time, because when u think u think about a lot of negative things, but u know what I could write it finally and my instructor gave me a remark saying "Beautiful".
So its not impossible... though a li'l difficult :-)
@ anjuli..maybe i should try writing that and also give my clients that assignment!
@ sowri..good one!
@ ceedy..yes, if only we remembered.
yeah... u shud, i can assure u and ur clients are gonna love it!
Words! It’s all about the 'sound' it creates, which eventually creates emotions, which ultimately lands up in some neuro signal. The signals shows Red/ Green/ Yellow and combinations of all basic colours which makes us ACT on it. More specifically, vibrations create vibrations...
I too wrote something about words!
